Day 1: Arrival in Paro
Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, your guide will greet you warmly.
A scenic drive takes you to Thimphu, Bhutan's vibrant capital city. Upon arriving, you check into your hotel, and then explore Thimphu. Our first stop is the National Memorial Chorten. Here, you'll join the elderly Bhutanese citizens in their serene circumambulation around this sacred monument, an essential daily ritual.
Next, you will visit the Royal Textile Museum. Here, you will witness the rich textile traditions of Bhutan and the intricate artistry of traditional weaving. Witness firsthand the skill and craftsmanship that go into creating Bhutan's distinctive textiles.
But the true highlight of your day awaits at the Institute of Zorig Chusum (School of 13 Traditional Arts & Crafts). Here, you'll have the privilege of interacting with novices who are mastering the 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan. It's an immersive experience that will connect you deeply with the artistic traditions that define this land.
Day 2: Thimphu to Punakha
Today, you embark on a picturesque journey from Thimphu to Punakha, traversing the awe-inspiring Dochula Pass. This iconic pass features 108 chortens, a stunning tribute constructed by Bhutan's beloved Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck. These chortens symbolize Bhutan's victory over Indian militants and serve as a spiritual haven for lost souls.
Our next stop is Khamsum Yuellay Namgyal Chorten, a marvel built by the Queen Mother Ashi Tshering Yangdoen Wangchuck. This architectural gem is a one-of-a-kind structure in the world, constructed over eight and a half years with inspiration drawn from religious scriptures. Before concluding your evening, explore the local markets in Punakha. Engage with local vendors and artisans to get a taste of the vibrant culture. It's a peaceful way to wrap up your explorations. Day 3: Punakha-Trongsa
Today as we embark on a captivating drive to Trongsa, the road winds through scenic landscapes, offering glimpses of Bhutan's natural beauty - rolling valleys, flowing rivers, and majestic mountains. A midday break at the Pele La Pass allows for moments of tranquility, surrounded by panoramic views. Continuing the journey, the Chendebji Chorten in the lush Chendebji Valley is a cultural highlight before arriving in Trongsa.
Upon checking in at the hotel, you will explore Trongsa Dzong. For centuries, and until a century ago, Trongsa Dzong was the seat of Bhutan's most powerful leader. Today, this architectural masterpiece serves as the office of the district administration and the monk body, preserving the rich legacy of Bhutan's past. The formidable fortress, standing strong after many centuries, proudly houses over 25 different Buddhist temples and shrines. Following the visit to the dzong, a brief drive takes you to Trongsa Ta Dzong (watch tower), now a museum with a rich collection of ancient artifacts and treasures.
Day 4: Trongsa-Bumthang
After breakfast, start on a scenic journey from Trongsa to Bumthang, a region renowned for its enchanting buckwheat flowers. The road unfolds through captivating landscapes, offering glimpses of Bhutan's natural beauty. Arrive in Bumthang and check in at your hotel. Begin your exploration with a visit to Jakar Dzong, an imposing fortress that overlooks the valley. Explore its intricately designed courtyards and absorb the historical significance of this architectural marvel.
Continue to Jambay Lhakhang, an ancient temple with fascinating legends. Discover the spiritual ambiance as you wander through the sacred halls and courtyards. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Bumthang by exploring the local markets. Engage with local vendors, discover traditional crafts, and perhaps find unique souvenirs to commemorate your Bhutanese journey. Take a leisurely stroll through the surroundings, breathing in the fresh mountain air and appreciating the tranquil beauty that defines Bumthang.
As the day concludes, savor a delightful dinner at your accommodation, enjoying Bhutanese cuisine that reflects the local flavors. Retire for the night in Bumthang, surrounded by the allure of buckwheat fields and the cultural richness that defines this picturesque region.
Day 5: Bumthang-Buckwheat Fields Tour
Embark on a full day dedicated to exploring the breathtaking buckwheat fields that grace the landscapes in and around Bumthang. Begin your immersive journey into the heart of Bhutan's cultural and agricultural traditions.
Venture into local villages nestled amidst the lush fields. Engage in meaningful interactions with the welcoming locals, gaining insights into their daily lives, customs, and traditions. Experience firsthand the warmth of Bhutanese hospitality as you connect with the community. As you traverse through the picturesque scenery, take time to savor the natural beauty that envelops the buckwheat fields. The landscape transforms into a canvas of white and pink, providing a serene backdrop to your exploration. Day 6: Bumthang-Paro
After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Bumthang back to Paro, relishing the picturesque landscapes that Bhutan has to offer. The journey provides a final opportunity to soak in the natural beauty and cultural richness that defines the region.
Day 7: Paro Exploration-Taktshang Hike
This morning, we embark on a memorable hike to Taktsang Monastery, famously known as the ‘Tiger's Nest’. Legend has it that 8th century Buddhist master Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a flying tigress and meditated in this breathtaking location.
Despite suffering a fire in 1998, the monastery has been meticulously restored to its former grandeur. After this spiritual journey, we will return to our hotel to prepare for our departure from Bhutan.
Alternative to Taktsang Hike
Drive to Chelela Pass (3,988 meter or 13,083 ft) with picnic lunch. This mountain passes straddling Haa and Paro valleys offers breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayan Mountains. The picturesque journey takes you through pine, oak, and rhododendron forests, adorned with vibrant red and pink blooms in April and May. Around 10 km from the pass, we will spot Kila Nunnery on a distant hillside, adorned with prayer flags along the path. Beyond the tree line, you may encounter yaks grazing in alpine meadows. The pass is dotted numerous prayer flags, piercing the vibrant blue sky. On clear days, enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Jomalhari and other Himalayan peaks.
Day 8: Departure from Paro
As we bid farewell to the enchanting land of Bhutan, we hope your journey has been filled with wonderful memories. Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before departing for the airport, where you'll catch your flight to your onward destination.

• Package per day per person rate is for minimum two pax. Additional rates applicable for solo travellers.
• Tour costs needs to be paid in full to confirm bookings.
Tour Payment Refund Policy
• 95% Refund for tour cancelled 90 days prior to arrival, transfer charges will be deducted.
• 85% refund for tour cancelled 60-45 days prior to arrival, transfer charges will be deducted.
• 75% refund for tour cancelled between 30 to 45 days prior to arrival.
• No refund for tour cancelled for less than 30 days of arrival.
• For luxury hotels & resorts, hotel cancellation policy will be applicable.
Tour Date Change or Replacement Policy:
1. Date Change Option:
We understand that plans can change, and we are happy to accommodate date changes at no additional cost for travel during non-peak seasons. However, please note that a surcharge will apply for bookings during peak seasons, festivals, or for hotel upgrades. To facilitate a smooth date change, we kindly request our customers to notify us as soon as possible regarding their desired travel date adjustments. It's important to note that refunds will not be possible for no-shows after arrival due to hotel cancellation policies.
2. Seat Replacement:
If you wish to minimize cancellation costs, you have the option to replace individuals traveling with you, whether they are friends or family members, or anyone else interested in taking your reserved seats on the originally confirmed dates. Once the replacement has been confirmed, the payment for the replaced seats will be directed to your bank account. Please note that for flights booked to Bhutan, specific policies may apply. To process the necessary visa or name change formalities, we kindly request a notification of the replacement at least 10-15 days prior to the scheduled arrival date
